Just went for Mother's Day dinner. Perhaps one of the most disappointing and unappetizing meals I have ever had. From the service to the wine selection, nothing about this restaurant lives up to the reputation it's been given. Firstly, the wine selection was depleted of all affordable wines. As a party of 6, we do not want to be drinking $125-$160 bottles. The sommalier could only offer a $75 bottle that was 'off his list'. This restaurant should seriously consider a more accessible wine selection.

The appetizers were average. It is obvious that the chef, being Japanese, is extremely skilled at Japanese cuisine as the sushi trio appetizer was by far the best thing of the night. I ordered the sirloin steak and for $48 you'd think it'd be amazing. Mine however came with mediocre sidesa cheesy quiche, small bundle of vegetablesand an undercooked, flavourless piece of meat that had a strong butane flavour. Two others had the chilean sea bass with little complaint two had the rack of lamb which while big in portion was served warm and undercooked (rare instead of med rare). Both were sent back to the kitchen. The last member of our group ordered the salmon which was spoiled.

The chef came out and asked how our food was. When we told him about the disappointments, the chef was defensive and implied that something was wrong with us. Even the table next to us complained about their vegetables tasting like gas.

For a meal that totalled over $500, THIS WAS INEXCUSABLE!

I am adamant about not recommending this restaurant to anyone with taste buds.

Verdict
- unjustifiably expensive
- slow and unattentive service
- inexperienced kitchen ridden with problems.
- SAVE YOUR MONEY!

As a party of 6, we do not want to be drinking $125-$160 bottles. The sommalier could only offer a $75 bottle that was 'off his list'. The fact that all of their accessible or 'low-end' bottles as the waiter called them were gone, should indicate what the majority of their customers are drinking. This restaurant should seriously consider a more accessible wine selection.

very good food, good service. Pricey but worth it. Watch the wine though- our wine was not available and they offered us a more expensive bottle. Apparently they do this a lot- one person I spoke to that had been there was told there were no wines under $75 available on the wine list.

that is not good and they should be wary of getting a reputation for that.

Absolutely delicious - sea bass is a must, however a group of 4 went and each had something different. Worth the money for sure

I travel a lot and discover restaurant many time a week and WILDFLOWER impressed me and is one of my best restaurant in Canada. The service, Martini with blue cheese olives and meal from bread, appetizer to sweets is an amazing gastronomic experience to have and repeat!!!! Congratulation to the Chef and owner.

Dropped in for dinner on a Saturday evening with no expectations. We were surprised and impressed by the decor casual but distinguished, with and air of sophistication (just the right balance for Edmonton). Service was impeccable, not intrusive, and they didn't miss a beat. The food -- the best part. The menu appeals to every desire. It is was as pleasing to the palate as it was to the eyes. We have found a new favorite restaurant and will be regulars. The other restaurants in Edmonton had better shape up -- there is a new standard to aspire to in town! (We gave already booked our next table it two weeks).

I went here for Easter Brunch with my family. It was outstanding! The meal started with a corn/orange muffins served with orange butter ,all served individually on silver trays. I had the Spanish skillet which was presented attractively on a large square plate with a small dish of custard and fruit on the side. All food is flavoral and you can definitely tell organic food is used. Even the children enjoyed their cactus pear drinks which were a pastel shade of icy pink. I would highly recommend for special occasions.
