Have dined at the downtown Sicilian a few times it has always been ok, however the other day was invited the Southside location ( didn't know there was one). What a great find this turned out to be the food was absolutely amazing and the server was excellent and very knowledgeable. One of the best meals I have ever had. At the end of our meal the manager comes by to see if everything was to our satisfaction, to which we gave a solid two thumbs up. I mentioned to him that I had dined at Jasper ave location several times but hadn't realized there was a second location, to which the manager explained that although they share a common name they were completely different restaurants with different owners. Turns out that they both used to be owned by same owner when they first opened but almost 15 years ago they were sold separately and each went about there business separately. He said it was a strange situation but it worked for them. Well I thoroughly enjoyed are meal and the service, and was interesting to hear why the two Sicilians seem to share a somewhat similar menu but are completely in ambiance. Downtown is a good but a bit stuffy while the south is a upscale casual.

Have dinned at the SPK South for many years but over the last year or two it has declined in quality with respect to the food. Too bad, we are dissapointed but the Pizza is still good.

For this restaurant to be classified as any good it is far from the truth in my view. As our party came for the meal, one of our group sent their meal back twice as the cooks do not have a clue how hot the hot food should be(should read the book cooking for dummies)and my desert what they list as tiramisu was far from that it looked like a malt gone south not anything that I would reccomend to my worst enemy. The owner was a rude B**** someone who does not belong in the hospitality industry. I would never step foot in this piss poor establishment again. Too bad the ratings aren't extremely poor as this place and the owner deserve that rating.

Met with a longtime friend after 10 yrs and expected at least a decent lunch. The mushroom soup was cold and they brought me another which was just as cold. Service was slow....not a busy lunch hour. Waitress seemed unconcerned. Steak was thin and tasted like leather. I asked for med rare....it was dark brown..or something close. (hard to describe). Never will darken that doorstep again or ever tell anyone else good things about it.

Our reservations for 2, (which I made with the phone number on the Sicilian Pasta Kitchen South's Webpage,) for my girlfriends birthday dinner were not honored! We were told by the unapologetic staff and confused looking hostess that we would have to wait an hour-to an hour and a half. I was also told that this was my fault and I must have mistakenly called the wrong resteraunt, although I used the correct and only phone number from the webpage. This effectively ruined my girlfriends birthday, who walked away from the resteraunt teary eyed and humiliated, and by the time we got into another resteraunt, we had missed the first half of the concert she was also hoping to see. All in all, Sicilian Pasta Kitchen managed to single-handedly ruin my girlfriends birthday, and I can't express how rudely we were treated.

This place was discovered by us by mistake. It was one of those lets just stop there Had great service on the southside, great specials and food. Nice healthy choices and even desserts! Keep in mind the downtown location is not the same owner. Southside location GREAT!!
