Cannot say enough about the taste of the food. I had the sergio's angel hair pasta with chicken. Wow, the portion was fantastic, and the chicken tender, also you can tell everything is made fresh when ordering. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I would have to say the best Italian food thereis. The service is friendly, and also reasonable prices. I would definately highly recomend this restaurant.

The Angel Hair Sergio was excellent. Unfortunately, the service was deplorable. The server had absolutely no smile on his face. I doubt if I would go there any more.

Rig's (as it is known to most regulars) is one of my most favourite restaurants. I currently live in Calgary but make sure to visit at least once whenever I'm in Edmonton. First off, the food is amazing. Hands down some of the best Italian around. Serge is the head chef in the back and ensures high quality and consistency. My favourite dishes taste the same today as they did when I first went to Rig's 10 years ago in Rice Howard Way. I highly recommend the Angel Hair Sergio, especially if you like spicy and the green salad with the house dressing is to die for (don't get me started on the homemade desserts, especially the cheesecake...they go quickly!). Jack is usually Front of House and is always efficient and friendly. This is the kind of place that works best when in small groups. The restaurant is small and individually owned therefore larger groups may feel disapointed by slower service compared to a larger chain restaurant. The feel of the place is charming and cozy, the crowd is usually younger, urban types (but my Mom fits right in - it's her favourite too). Enjoy!

I love this restaurant. I've had nothing but good experiences. The service was fast, friendly and I never found myself thirsty or in need of a drink. The meatballs and sausage weren't dry and bland much like the other Italian restaurants around town.

the food came promptly and was also reasonably priced. definately my first choice for italian restaurants.

We were a group of 14 people for an office Christmas party and although the meals were generally delicious, the service was very slow. They lacked bus boy service to clear the tables of used glasses and dishes. The waitress could not keep up with orders of drinks, appetizers, and entrees for a group this size. I ordered blackened Red Snapper and was the last to be served, well after (1/2 hr) the others had finished their meals. The portion was two smallish pieces, not one generous piece you would expect for the menu price. Two of the desserts offered were also not available, Tiramisu one of them, which for an Italian restaurant is as much a staple, as spaghetti is itself. I would not highly recommend this restaurant, only suggest it as a last resort if your other favourite Italian restaurants are booked.
